Afterwork Discussion at New Performance Turku Festival

At the New Performance Turku Festival there are altogether seven Afterwork Discussions that continue festival’s theme of discussion about performance and Live Art.  The events take place after the performances and the audience is invited to participate in the discussions.

The discussions begin with two members of the audience opening their experience of the performance.

Afterwork Discussion take place after the following performances:

Tuesday 29th of September. Floating Platforms: Lynn Lu + Saana Svärd (Titanik Gallery, at 6-7pm)

Wednesday 30th od September. Floating Platforms: Joshua Sofaer + Mikko Sams (TEHDAS Theatre at 7.30-8.30pm)

Thursday 1st of October. Anaïs Héraud: Ritournelle (Vanha viinatehdas, at 5.30-7pm)

Saturday 3rd of October. French & Mottershead: Afterlife (Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova, discussion at 1-2pm)
Annika Tudeer: Annika Does Swanlake (Kutomo, at 7-8pm)

Sunday 4th of October. Antti Laitinen: Armour (Vartiovuori Park, discussion at  2-3pm)
ieke Trinks: The Variety Show (Titanik Gallery, discussion at 4-5pm)

Afterwork Discussions have two speakers opening the discussion. The other one is one of the students in the Live Art and Performance Studies programme at Helsinki University of Arts. You can read more about them here. The other one is a curated spectator, they are Minna Hög, Leena Keisala, Lucas Bartholl, Kim Krappala and the representatives of the Turku Child Parliament.
