New Performance Turku Festival goes FESTIVAAL!

The Berlin audience has now for the second time the opportunity to get to now what is going on in the Finnish performance and live art scene. At FESTIVAAL! in Theaterdiscounter there are six performances in three weeks. Two of the performances are having their premiere in Germany. Performances at the FESTIVAAL! are: Annika Tudeer‘s Annika Does Swanlake (26th to 27th of June), Pilvi Porkola‘s Make My Day (3rd to 4th of July), Leena Kela’s Alphabets of Performance Art (3rd to 4th of July) and Juha Valkeapää with Executed Stories (8th to 9th of July). As a part of the festival Tero Nauha is conducting a workshop under the title ”Approaching the Schitzoproduction” and having a lecture ”Knowledge Is Not Knowing” (11th of July). There’s also The Wanderer from Houkka Bros (Tero Nauha, Kristian Smeds and Juha Valkeapää) (11th to 12th oh July). More information about the performances and the schedule here. FESTIVAAL! Is organized by Michael Müller and Christopher Hewitt. It is organized in collaborations with New Performance Turku Festival, and Mad House Helsinki and it is supported by Finnland-Institut Berlin / Finnische Botschaft Berlin and TINFO. Theaterdiscounter is a theater in Mitte, Berlin and it focuses on contemporary drama, modern speech drama and post-dramatic theatre. |
